10, 1-hr virtual sessions, one per month
Camp Thrive is an in-depth exploration and application of 8 dimensions of wellbeing (cognitive, emotional, environmental, occupational, spiritual, social, physical, and financial). Over the span of 10, 1-hr sessions, in this virtual wellness course course, 20 participants will investigate the impact of stress, vicarious trauma, and compassion fatigue on educator wellbeing, discuss related supports, and implications on children’s development.
Educators and providers will explore a variety of strategies to support their own wellbeing, including mindfulness-based activities embedded in everyday routines, relationship building skills, emotion regulation techniques, and healthy boundary setting.
This course meets 1 time per month on Zoom. Staff will enroll in the Mighty Network, an online portal to access Camp Thrive materials and engage in a social networking platform.
Camp Thrive Testimonials
“Setting aside time each week to address wellbeing has helped me get through a challenging time in my life. I enjoyed focusing on different subjects/concepts and learning how they can apply to my own situation. Hearing other people talk about ideas and strategies they use, offers a new perspective and gives me new insight. I appreciated your dedication to this group and I would recommend it to others. You have made a difference in my wellbeing and I appreciate you. Thank you for doing this and I hope to see you again.”
