WellEducator and NW PBIS are hosting a book study series based on an in-depth reading and application of the book Thrive: Practical Strategies to Nourish Teacher Wellbeing by Daniela Falecki, 2023. In the words of the author, “This book is not a fluffy self-help book putting pressure on you to be well in a world full of chaos. It’s a book to help you navigate that chaos, celebrate the amazing work that you do and learn to thrive” (Falecki, 2023, p. 1).
In this 8 session book study series participants will, apply the basics of teacher wellbeing including the “good and the bad” of stress, debate different theories of wellbeing, evaluate social and emotional competence and psychosocial health and safety in the workplace. Participants will investigate and synthesize strategies to support their own thriving by prioritizing their time, mental wellbeing, relationships, impact, values, and emotions.
